Thank you to all who have read, commented and encouraged this book. Thank you to all the climate scientists, the evolutionary biologists, all the scientists in general, to all the people working to protect the rights of people and our earth, to the people in the legal systems working tirelessly to create fairer and more just societies, to the writers and story-tellers and artists and teachers so important to broad-scale thinking, who rigorously question and project and test and bring all this to life for us, who demand open minds and informed critical thinking.

Thank you to all who have installed in me a sense of awe in even the smallest of things, curiousity even to the point of chasing too much, a love of learning, a commitment to critical thinking and wild thought experiments, and a willingness to put imperfect things forward.
